The Clywedog Trout Fishery, one of the finest in the country is based on the Clywedog Dam in the mountains that surround the Bed and Breakfast and Licences for Fishing on the Dam and the Rivers can be optained from Woosnam and Davies Newsagents in town.

There are good ponds offering Coarse Fishing, and 45 Minutes away at the coast Sea Fishing can be arranged.
